I have his enlistment, and I am sure, not all of his active duty records but some of them and when he was taken prisoner and his pension records. I tracked them down such a long time ago, at the National archives. That was long before I even had a computer. I was fortunate that he was a Union soldier. for those records are far easier to find. have a Great great grandfather who was confederate. I have a few records on him. Not much. He too was taken prisoner. Keep us posted on your success.. It is so exciting when one of these records is found and in your hands.
