Moved to Iowa and married there. Married Katie and had 4 children. Nettie, Stella, Delbert, and Laura. Stella was my GG grandmother. My mother never mentioned a James Moffit while she was growing up. She said only Jean Moffet. Maybe that is some clue? Or maybe James went by the name of John also? Any help is grately appreceited.
