Be sure to ask them if they also have the Marriage Application. If so, be sure to order both items. I have only dealt with county courthouses to order marriage licenses. So, if you order from UIS,I don't know if you will get a typed copy of the marriage license or a copy of the original. For the cost of paying someone for gas, the copy of the information (either the original or a transcript), etc., you will be much better off ordering the marriage license from the county. However, if you can get a copy of the original (not a typed copy) from IRAD, ordering it through the mail would be the cheapest way to go. Keep in mind that the database that is online has some mistakes in it. Hope you can get what you need from one of those places. Kathleen (STANFIELD) COOK
