I again found them in the Lewis Co., MO 1870 census as Gaskie. The name is Garkie as my mother was a Garkie. I did find where Frederick' s father was Ludwig Gerke in Germany and know that translates to pickle. Are you connected to this family in anyway? I would be glad to share. BARB
