    3. I have received several copies. It is a copy from the microfilm of the marriage Register book. Quality depends on the quality of the microfilm and date. The information given will depend on what was asked at that time for that county. Most of the early ones had the date of the license, name of the groom, the name of the bride, when married, by whom married, and when the license was returned. Find out what church the minister was affiliated with. If they were married by a church, there may still be a church record available. Some of those kept much family detail, some did not. Some counties took more detail much earlier. It is worth the dollar and the phone call. Just call during their stated hours of operation and they will send a copy and a bill for a minimum of one dollar. Some will fill requests for more than one marriage at a time. Have all the information from the index at hand including how it is spelled in the index. That speeds the request. You still are asked to wait up to 6 weeks for delivery. I have not had to wait that long yet. If they are on break between semesters, it may take a week or two longer. -Cyndi Sweet
