If I understand your question correctly, you want to know (exactly) where they lived. My best hint would be to find someone in the area who has been there "forever" and may, therefore, either know your family or know the families who are found near them on the census. I say this because I was delighted, when I did the 1850 census of my home township, to discover that I could tell which road the census taker was working his way along, most of the time, because I just knew which families lived there when I was a child, or from other things I had read as I worked on my several families in the area. It's worth a try certainly. Try contacting the genealogy, historical, or public libraries in the area and inquire if they know someone who might be well-acquainted enough to help you out. Alternatively, my county has several plat maps that date to the time around 1860. Perhaps the family name could be found there. Contact the same folks for information about which maps might be available in your area of interest. Good luck finding what you wish to know, and sooner rather than later...tho you should not give up. Amazing things can pop up at the most unexpected times. Lawrences obituary says he was born in 1830..other records say 1834..In any case there is quite a discrepancy in his age,obit says he came to the USA when he was 16.
