I found the family in the 1900 census of Chicago here is their info: Thomas Elliot (54) born April 1846 in Scotland, parents born in Scotland. Married for 25 yrs, immigrated in 1860, been in the States 40 yrs and is naturalized. Occupation was shoe maker. Isabel (37, wife) born Jan 1863 in Canada as were her parents, immigrated in 1885 and has been in the States for 15 yrs, 9 children all surviving. Children all born in Illinois: Freddie (12) born Aug 1888, John (10) born Jan 1890, Geo (8) born Mar 1892, Eddie (6) born Jan 1894, Mabel (?) born Oct 1899. Address was 443 Austin Avenue (West Town).
