    1. Fiske Genealogy Library in Seattle
    2. Someone on this list contacted me off list to ask about the Fiske Genealogical Library in Seattle. Unfortunately, I lost her email address, so must reply on list. She is looking for data on Seattle between the years of 1942 and 1960. Here is the URL for this library, including hours (they're not straightforward) and directions. It also gives an idea of the kind of data available. http://www.fiske.lib.wa.us/ In addition, I include the URL for the Seattle Genealogical Society. The two collections don't necessarily overlap. The SGS has a large collection from other parts of the country as well. I used it the other night online to find indexes to early data on Indiana, for instance. http://www.rootsweb.com/~waseags/ Also, if you have time, check out the Seattle Public Library; they may have new data since you were here last. The brand new library has an expanded local history/genealogy section. And don't forget the library and archives at the University of Washington. With all that you may not even see the friends you've ostensibly come to visit! Doris Waggoner Seattle
