    1. Isaac Newton Waggoner b. 1809 Cincinatti d. 1877 Hancock Co IL Bible
    2. I am looking for an appropriate home for a family Bible belonging to Isaac Newton Waggoner and his wife Mary. She was b. Navoo, IL. He became a river boat pilot on the Missippi, and they raised a family of about eight children, all listed with birthdates. Some have spouses listed. Isaac's hand-written obit is included. One son, George, is listed, with descendants, in a page taken from a post-1900 county history from Hancock Co. While there are Isaac Newton Waggoners in my Moultrie Co. Ill family, this one is not among them. Nor does he seem to be among the Waggoners who founded Waggoner Ill, on the Interstate between St. Louis and Springfield. I have posted on the Hancock Co. List and the Waggoner list, with no response. I thought perhaps some descendants have moved elsewhere in the state. My first preference would be to get the Bible to a family member. If this information rings any bells, please contact me, and I will provide more. The Bible was given to me for postage, and I would pass it along the same way. I just want it in the right family. Thanks, Doris Waggoner Seattle
