    2. Linda, In addition to entering an estimate for the date of the second marriage, make sure you've given an "ending status" for the first marriage (death of one spouse, divorce, etc.). The box for the ending status is found in the "more" in the marriage area. If the marriage ended due to the death of the first wife & you don't know when she died, give an approximate date (year). Then you can give an approximate year for the second marriage & it will all be straightened out. Same thing if the first marriage ended in divorce since there's a date & "comment/location" thing for that. I had this problem too & it drove me up a wall until I figured it out. Sometimes I still forget to do the "ending status" thing, so whenever I have a person with 2 or more spouses I look at the outline descendant chart for that person to see if everybody is in the right order. Then I know where I've erred & what to fix. Hope you get it sorted out. :-) Gloria Scott In a message dated 1/24/2005 10:14:49 PM Central Standard Time, Dolluver01@aol.com writes: > I sure hope someone can help me on a question I have on Family Tree Maker > as > I can never get through to them to ask the ?
