Joan, The thing that I LOVE about Heritage quest, is that you have so many options that you don't have on, say, ancestry.com. First of all, you have an age range to work with instead of just one age. You can use this feature if you know aprox what age range the person was in and you know their first name and the county that they should be in - but you are not sure of the spelling of the last name that was used... For instance, if I am looking for a Martha Snodgrass and I know that she is between 11-13 and that the family name has been listed from everything to Snoodgross to Snodgriss and they lived in Iroquois Co., Illinois and most were born in Indiana - all I would do is fill in these fields: First name: Martha age: 11-20 Gender: Female Race: White State: Illinois County: Iroquois Born: Indiana This would bring up all the Martha's (or whomever) that fit the criterion for your person - and I bet you find her faster this way than any other way - even on ancestry! I have found more people this way - people that I COULDN'T find on ancestry - just because they didn't have the age range option... Good Luck to you! Leslie
