Pose was injured in an auto crash Oct. 3, 1969, on highway 30 at the Norway corner. Born Sept. 16, 1943, in Marshalltown, he moved to Cedar Rapids in 1959. He lived in Marion between 1965 and 1967 and was a resident of Watkins at the time of the auto crash. A graduate of Prairie high school, he was married to Darla Jean Mikulecky May 3, 1964, in Cedar Rapids. He was employed by Iowa Manufacturing Co. Survivors include his wife; two children, Stacy Lyn and Landon, all of Cedar Rapids; his father, Robert of Marshalltown; his mother, Mrs. Lloyd Chaplin of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Mrs. Douglas McDowell and Diane Pose of Cedar Rapids and Leanne of Marshalltown, and a brother, Jeff of Marshalltown. Services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Pursel-Davis chapel in Marshalltown. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery there. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Note: The accident happened early morning - Bobby was in a car pool on their way to work in C.R. - they were hit by a drunk driver - Bobby was the only one seriously injured. He was in a coma for a year. I recall a lawsuit against the Montrose Hotel for serving the alcohol to the drunk driver. He was a gentle, kind person. Rest well, I am, beverly
