This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. This is a World Wide service, the county of origin of the credit card is not an issue. What perplexes us is why you think you need to spend money. There are a bunch of us out there that love a challenge. It is important to tell us what you are looking for. How do you think Daniel ties to your line. Is he an uncle, a cousin, etc. Judging from the response that you received, we would guess that 25 or so of us looked into your family. Most of us will not post information, if we are not sure if it helps you. We actually spent a couple of hours looking for him. He went from Chicago in 1900 to Texas County, Oklahoma in 1910. He purchased land in Texas Co under the US Homestead Act in 1911. He was listed in Cimarron Co., OK in 1920. By 1930, he was back in Texas Co. He may not have moved, it may be that the boundary of the county changed. There are volunteers in Texas Co that will do obit and public record lookups for free. See the links: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~obitl/ http://www.raogk.org/ and http://www.bobbyebeer.com/ Other things we found is that Winnifred was going to Washington DC when she entered the country at Ellis Island. There are very few Lawrence’s from England in DC in 1920, if you were to give us the names of her suspected sisters we might be able to identify her. The bottom line is that there are lots of people on the list that want to help, the biggest problem is tell us what you consider success is.
