    2. Hi List, Im just getting around to some posts Ive saved the past week, been too busy to really give them much time this week.. I have tried the Illinois State Archives several times and have never found anything for my greatgrandfather and ggrandmother Lawrence FITZSIMMONS, and Bridget RILEY. Although I know for certain they were married in Warren County in 1860. Am I doing something wrong when I get there? I have followed the directions, Ive added the comma after the name, Ive tried different spellings and different ways of searching, Ive put things in and taken things out, but no matter what I always come up with nothing. The following is a post from Joan and I clicked on the links which bring me to the same place but it still comes back with nothing.. <snip>" Try the Illinois State Archives online databases--a wealth of information. _http://www.ilsos.net/GenealogyMWeb/globsrch.html_ (http://www.ilsos.net/GenealogyMWeb/globsrch.html) Joan in Illinois " Cris Atwater California

    3. In this case, I would contact the Warren County Genealogical Society which has a nice collection at the Warren County Library in Monmouth. This is an active group with a sizeable collection of Warren County materials, which I have used before (I don't have time anymore though). There is information on Warren County research here: http://www.wcig.net/resources.htm Michael http://www.rootdig.com On Sat, 19 Mar 2005 18:55:03 -0800, crazyangel25@webtv.net <crazyangel25@webtv.net> wrote: > Hi List, > Im just getting around to some posts Ive saved the past week, been too > busy to really give them much time this week.. > I have tried the Illinois State Archives several times and have never > found anything for my greatgrandfather and ggrandmother Lawrence > FITZSIMMONS, and Bridget RILEY.
