My great-great grandmother Elizabeth (SPENCE) BLAIR emigrated from County Antrim, Ireland in 1886 to the USA. She settled in Warren Co. IL and then in central IA. I was wondering if your SPENCE line had connections to Co. Antrim, Ireland? My great-great grandmother was said to have had a "Scottish" accent even though she was born and raised in Co. Antrim, Ireland. Her father, Robert SPENCE was also born and raised in Co. Antrim, Ireland but was most likely of Scottish decent as many people in the "Ulster" area of Ireland are. I would be interested to see if your SPENCE tree has connections in Co. Antrim, Ireland. Thanks.
