RootsWeb.com Mailing Lists

    2. Doris, I checked this out by asking Google myself. They start the list with sites that are clearly marked Sponsored Links. If you read the small blue print, it will tell you where you are going before you click on the link. The first one is ancestry.com. I always ignore the sponsored sites and go to the next list. It is called Matching Links. Looks like you will need to do a little more work on your own. But isn't that the fun of doing genealogy! (The search!) A grownup game of hide and go seek. My mother started the search for my family before there was an Internet with a non-electric typewriter and regular mail. Oh, my! BTW since you are looking for information in Washington State, it might profit you to join one of their Roots lists. I have Washington ancestors and belong to several. You might also want to consider joining "Rocking chair roots". You can get lots of help there on doing genealogy research. Have fun! Enjoy the search! Bettye

    3. Bettye, Excuse me for ease dropping on your message to Doris, but could you tell me where this "rocking chair roots" is, or what it is?
