Have you tried USgenweb.org, Douglas County. Were these grandparents Jewish perhaps? I notice that there 'a Hebrew Cemetery there. Maybe a written inquiry would get you somewhere. I have many Jewish friends and their roots are mainly in Russia. But if not, there are plenty more cemeteries to look at around Superior. There may be more information here as well. Give it a try.
