I have a step-greatgrandmother who was a widow before she married my great grandfather. Her maiden name was Anna Louise Carlson born in Kisa, Ostergotland, Sweden. She was born 1 Nov 1864, I don't know when she died but it was before 1934 and I assume in Leavenworth , Kansas because that is when my great grandfather died and she was already dead. Her first husband's last name was Anderson and they had four children: Minnie, Albert, Charles and Walter. When she married my great grandfather she was a widow with these four children living in Leavenworth, Kansas. She married Cyrus W. Quigley and they had two children of their own: Chester and Hazel. Anna also went by the name Annie. Leavenworth, KS had a big coal mine at the end of the 1800's and the beginning of the 1900's, large federal prison, Army base - Fort Leavenworth, so it was a very going concern at the time you are looking for your relative. It is just ac! ross the Missouri river so a relative easy boat ride at certain times of the year. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
