    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Fh.2ADI/5669.1 Message Board Post: There are over 13000 messages on the Clark board. The 1870 census shows the following: 243 John Clark's born in IL, 46 in AR, 173 in TN, 217 in KY, 245 William Clark's born in IL, 48 in AR, 141 in TN, 280 in KY. As I mentioned in my previous post, my Clarks originated in KY or TN to IL to AR and back to IL. Apparently a spouse died and other children were born. My grandfather used his middle name early in life, and only as an adult did he use his first name. I wonder if my other Clark ancestors did the same? I also have heard the family legend of Cherokee blood in my family like those mentioned in other posts, but have no idea where it originates. The reason I mention all this is having hit a brick wall, as you have also, maybe it is time to consider a Clark KY/TN/So.IL/AR DNA project. What do you think? Fred

    1. H. Wright
    2. Gerri
    3. Hi: I am trying to find any info on H. Wright. I know you are probably saying "H Wright? That could be anybody!" well you would be right. (no pun intended). I found the obit of when my grandfather died in 1950. It said that he was survived by a sister Mrs. H. Wright of Chicago IL. No one is left for me to ask. But I think that Mrs. H. Wright of Chicago IL is his sister Florence or Flossy. I have identified the other siblings in the obit. My grandfather was George Valentine SPECK b 1878 and he was married to Laura Petrie. His siblings were: Ellen, William, Pearl, Frank, Edris and Florence (Flossy) So, I know this is a long shot, but if anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Thank you. Gerri
