    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Fh.2ADI/907.1 Message Board Post: Hi Susan I believe this is the same William Duble that my great grandmother Nancy Jane Coffman Cox married after William's wife died. Elizabeth was struck by lightening sometime about 1890 and died. Nancy Jane was in the William Duble household in 1880 IA census as a servant with a couple of her children. I know my mother said that Nancy Jane left William shortly after they were married and she didn't know what happenned to William Duble. In 1930 Nancy was living with her son Fred Cox in Wright Twsp, Wayne Co., Iowa. Nancy Jane Coffman Cox Duble died in 1931 in Millerton, Wayne Co., Iowa. I don't know what became of William. William's son Charles married Nancy Jane's daughter Ida Mae Cox and they lived most of their lives in Unionville, MO. Charles and Ida were married about 1893. Ida Mae died July 14, 1934 in Centerville, Iowa, I don't know when Charles died. Their children were Daisy, Mary, Marietta, Nellie and Albert Duble. I have no information on them. I have tried to find out when William died or where he went, but have not been able to find out anything.

    1. Re: [ILROOTS] Old Soldier's Cemetery in Illinois or Indiana
    2. You don't really state if he joined in Indiana or Illinois. My ancestors served and are in this Roll of Honor for Illinois Soldiers. My grandpa was buried in a private cemetery but is still listed in the Roll of Honor for soldiers buried in Illinois. Do a google search for Illinois State Archives and check out their online databases. It's really a great site but, unfortunately, the Global Search won't always work, so you may have to search Civil War soldiers separately. If you can find one you think is yours, the muster in/out roll can be ordered. It gives a physical description, when and where they mustered in/out and place of residence. Which 1860 census is he in? Illinois or Indiana? Could the first line be him? It's Knox County, Knoxville Cemetery. Surnames: Mitchell, Parkhill, Tolley, Patterson, Finn Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Fh.2ADI/5728 Message Board Post: Allegedly a great-grandfather, George Monroe MITCHELL (1846 Indiana - 1891 Illinois), a veteran of the Civil War, was buried in Southern Illinois in an area known as "Old Soldiers Cemetery" possibly in Saline or Hamilton Counties. According to local officials no such cemetery exists. This is according to information in his VA file for a pension. Does anyone know of a cemetery in Illinois or perhaps Indiana by this name? Thank you, Doug S.

    1. The 1600s Ancestors Data Base Update
    2. First Families
    3. Hello Everyone: Those of you who are working on your lines back to your 1600s American Ancestors will find the1600s Ancestors Data Base to be of great help. I have recently posted several hundred new Ancestors to the Data Base bringing the total to over 29,000 entries. Since we also honor our female ancestors you Will find many of them here. Also listed are several National Societies who have proven many of these Ancestors. There are a few new respected Reference works that contain thousands of sources All the entries are coded to indicate to which reference work or which National Society has at least one of their proven lines. Several of the National Societies have over 20 different lines from a single Ancestor. WHEN YOU ENTER the 1600s Ancestor Data Base be sure to look at the top of each data page for the link that takes you to the "Data Base Information Page" Here you will find the codes and references listed and how to use them. This is MUST reading to understand the Data Base. We are constantly updating the Data Base with additional Ancestors added as time permits. More work has been devoted to updating listings of the female lines by going back and adding marriages. This takes much time we do have a lot of work to do there. You will find the 1600s Ancestor Data Base at: http://www.firstfamilies.org/db/ For those of you who are AOL members you may have trouble connecting to many pages that may come up with a message such as "Page Does Not Exist" and you can cure that by using your browser feature of Copy and Paste the URL to your browser and then enter from there. Everyone has FREE access to all our web site and the reports contained there. Enjoy and Happy Hunting Ryan Jackson Data Base Manager America's First Families
