Surnames: BARBER CALADON Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Fh.2ADI/5748 Message Board Post: I'm looking for James Caladon Barber, my gggrandfather. Family records don't show a date for his birth, but he had his first child with Mary Jane Vilate "Munjar" in 1884 in San Diego County, California where he died, so his birth year would be anywhere from 1844 to 1864 or thereabouts. Believe, because of name searches, that Caladon was most likely a family name, and would like more information on that as well.

(age 13 in 1930 census) Sue (Sonia) born 1918? (age 12 in 1930 census) I am looking for information on this family. According to the 1930 Census listing, Kathleen, Evelyn and Sue were born in Illinois. I am thinking Knox or Stark County, perhaps not. Could someone lookup either birth information for the three girls, land records for Andrew (Andy) or 1920 Census record information?

Certificates have little information. The applications may have much more (ages, place of birth of groom and bride, parents' names and places of birth, # of previous marriages, where married and who performed the ceremony, and more) Bill in Denver

    2. William Griffen & Anna Ridenour were married 9/10/1880 in McDonough County lic. # 00000792 (it did not give book and page numbers) You may have to write to the county clerk in McDonough County (or call) or to the IRAD archives in McComb, IL Price? there may be a genealogy copy available at a lower fee, so be sure to ask Bill in Denver

    3. Hello: You do not happen to have an Elias Oscar MARTIN born 1860 in Illinois in your MARTIN line? I can supply more info if needed. Although I have not been able to confirm where in Illinois he was born, he was most likely born in Knox, Peoria or Fulton Counties. Surnames: ABER, DYAL , GREENFIELD, MALPASS, EDWARDS, BAGLEY & BAGGOT Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Fh.2ADI/5739 Message Board Post: Hi all, I am trying to locate any information on the following couple, THOMAS A. MARTIN & MARY SHERMAN (OR SHURMAN) they were married in Schuyler Co. IL, on Dec. 17th, 1889. I am trying to locate a copy of their marriage lic. OR any information about either of these two folks. I have been researching the line of FERN ELIZABETH (or ELISABETH) MARTIN, and info. from a family member said that her parents were Aseneth MARTIN (Mrs.) & BENJAMIN TRYON. I have since heard from another relative that possibly ASENETH wasn't her birth mother and that BENJAMIN was her stepfather. If there is anyone out there who knows anything about this family, please contact me. I have a marriage licence obtained recently for FERN and find that her parents are listed on it as MARY SHERMAN & THOMAS A. MARTIN, of Schuyler Co., IL. But Fern's birth certificate seems to be unavailable. The plot thickens! FERN's birth place on her own marriage licence is listed as Farmington, IL - and I have since found that there were several Farmington's in different counties, one Farmington now being FARMINGHAM? So, where do I begin to look for the birth cert. of Fern? Fern died in Clinton, MO and many family members seem to have gone to MO to live - there again - any help would be appreciated on decendants who may be able to assist me. Any help on this line would be greatly appreciated since Fern's son is ill and I would love to try and get his line proved for him asap. (He knows nothing about his family, they simply didn't discuss the family). Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist me in this. 1. Re: [ILROOTS] 1880-Searl family look up
    2. Thanks for trying, Joan. And yes, I did try Learl/Learle/Learls. I have another surname that I research that begins with an S (SEE) and it is oftened transcribed wrong.(LEE) Maybe my Searl family was missed in the 1880 census. I have tried everything from Sears to Cereal and Curl. Thanks again, I will try to remember that patience is a virtue. Cheryl in Oregon
