Sept. 22, 1965. However, WW1 draft card clearly shows birth year 1876. Draft card also shows Losey as last name with Fine in parentheses. Nevada Marriages show his mother Laura Losey married to Henry Fine Jan 1, 1882, so I suspect that he was the product of a previous marriage and took on the Fine name at some point. Have not been able to locate a Laura Losey with son Carey in any census indexes. Any ideas on how and where to further research this welcome. Thanks!

Hi Shelly, On a long shot, I looked thru the 1927 & 1928 yearbooks for Englewood HS in Chicago, but did not find anyone with that name. No luck, but one less place to look! Howdy List Members, Below is an abstract from the Secretary of State's site. Does anyone know if any 1845 census records for Edwards Co have survived? I am looking for a William YOUNG. Thank you, Eldon "State censuses were taken in 1820, 1825, 1830, 1835, 1840, 1845, 1855, and 1865. Unfortunately only the 1820, 1855, and 1865 ones have survived reasonably intact. Most of the county returns for 1825, 1830, 1835, and 1845 are missing and nearly half of the 1840 state census has been lost."

I am searching for an obituary for Catherine Westfall Penny, b. 17 Jan 1830, prob Miami Co. Ohio, d. 12 Jun 1902, Cornell, Illinois. She is buried in Phillips Cemetery. I would appreciate any information regarding Catherine and will reimburse costs. I would love a picture of her tombstone if this is possible. I would also like to find her husband, John and if he is buried there. He was b. 12 Oct 1818 in Kentucky, d. 8 Feb. 1889 according to a letter I have, however I found him on a 1910 Census in Streator, Illinois. John is on the Illinois Death Index but Catherine is not. John and Catherine were step-brother and step-sister when they married in Miami Co., Ohio. They moved to Warren Co., Illinois between 1845 and 1848, then on to Streator, Illinois. It is said they lived in Osborne, Kansas for a time but I haven't been able to verify this. Thank you, Janice Buker
