The migration route on my Henderson line goes something like this: Ireland> New Jersey>Illinois>Nebraska>Colorado>California. I don't have much information for many of the females in my Henderson line and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

    1. Re: [ILROOTS] Warkin's family search
    2. The only other thing I can suggest is contacting some of the submitters on the familysearch.com site. Particularly the one who put in John Henderson Warkins birth record, as it shows both wives. She knew the name Netty Breeden so maybe she'd know more about their children. I looked at the Illinois State Archives. Doing a global search, it came up with matches for the last name Warkins as Civil War participants and Warkins deaths in the death index. Joan in Illinois

    2. Can someone please tell me where I can obtain my greatgrandparents marriage lisence (is that what I ask for?) Lawrence FITZSIMMONS and "Fidelia" RILEY (aka Bridget,Deliliah,Delia and more).I have found them in Family Search.org and it records there date of marriage as June 10,1860 in Warren County, and Fidelia was 16.Lawrence was 22. I have found another record that says they were married in 1856,making Fidelia (we've come to know her as Bridget) 12 years old..Are there any newspapers for marriage announcements online for this time and area? All census records say Fidelia (Bridget) was born in 1844 and came to the USA about 1846.I find no record of her at all before she wed Lawrence,or before 1860,in Family Search. Can anyone please help with that also? her mothers name was Mary RILEY,her fathers name "might" have been Thomas. Thank you

    2. I took a look and found the same thing. St. Clair is the County. But I also looked at deaths and there are a lot of Touchette's burried in East St. Louis. Try going to the Illinois State Archives and see for yourself. Mozer (Victor Mozier) died in East St. Louis May 15, 1917. For some reason when I looked today, it would only find them if I simply typed in Tou. Also there are still 2 Touchette's listed in the phone book for East St. Louis. One of them might respond to a short letter. You can find them on anywho.com. Hope this helps. Let me know if you find her connection to Lincoln. And do you believe she married Mozer? I could find nothing under Clinton. Joan in Illinois

I find nothing on your Celestine in Kankakee County. The only record I see is the marriage of Celestine TOUCHETTE to Victor MOTZIER 20 Jun 1865 at St Claire which is recorded in the online Illinois Marriage Records. You need to find out which county St Claire is in and then ask the IRAD for a copy of that marriage record which will only cost you about $1.00. The instructions are on the Illinois Vital Records Web Site. Or, you can join the St Anne List and ask the list members if anyone is researching the TOUCHETTE surname and if they can help you.
