John and Mary Frank was living at one time at 2500 So. Adams, Peoria, IL. I understand that John Casper Frank enjoyed painting and was very good at it. My Mother, Anna S. Frank had some of her Fathers painting, and friends of hers was going to send them to her in Colorado, but they never did, she lost track of the friends, and never enjoyed her Fathers paintings again. My Mother has passed away, I am one of her daughters, and would love to find one of our Grandfathers Paintings, as we heard so much about them growing up. Thank you for any help you can give us. Hi Bettye Did I miss something? Why do you think you owe an apology? Im sorry if someone was offended that you sent the link, they should remember "don't shoot the messenger"..you didnt create that history, you simply shared a website! I found it very interesitng, although very disturbing. I learned from it too, I didnt knw alot of this. I have shared it with other lists Iam on. Thank you Bettye. Cris
Bette Excuse me...but I fail to understand the NEED for Your apology...for the content's point of view for ... The Reality of the War and the Ending results...has nothing to do with you personally, you were presenting a website offering information. If you look at the Documented facts of the period...they are/should be no more Offensive to Americans/readers than the treatment of Native Americans BY Americans..and the accummalative documentations regarding the treatment of Men...Women and Children.... The TRUTH is Rarely popular...and the Truth is rarely believed or Wanted...it's easier to do the 'Cover-up' method...in hopes the Truth is avoided and remains unknown...so that the Perpetrators of the 'Ugliness' can escape culpability..... If anyone found the material offensive...and said anything unkind to you about it...I would wonder Why....and Why the need to make You feel unnessarily apologetic.... I appreciate the link...I found it to be most informative...some I was aware of ...most I found appalling...yet not surprised.
