Just go to anywho.com. Fill in Murphy, Bourbonnais, and then search. There are 3 listings, two with addresses; all three have phone numbers. Perhaps one is a relative. First names are Butch, initial L, and the third, Larry. Joan

Cindy and list Thank you so much..I knew not all records were not online but had no idea if the ones I am looking for were there but I missed them somehow. Thank you so much for making that phone call and finding out this information. Somewhere, somehow, someone found online the marriage info for my greatgrandparents Lawrence FITZSIMMONS & Fidelia (Bridget) RILEY-1860) and sent it to me. It has been so long ago I cant remember who sent it or where they found it. That information is what led to me finding them in the census and anything thereafter, so I know its exists somewhere online but I cant find it... lol Ive tried both bride and groom at different search engines and have come up with nothing ever. There is some question about my greatgrandmothers given name.My greatgrandfather Lawrence FITZSIMMONS' obit calls her "Bridget". Other census and 3 of their childrens baptismal records call her Odilla, and Adilla and Bridget. One census says Bedelia, one says Deliliah, and still another and the marriage say Fidelia, somewhere Ive seen Delia as well. As far as her surname Ive found her mother Mary RILEY, in 3 different census spelled RILEY, however Marys obit has another spelling. It seems RILEY may be the correct spelling. But then its anyones guess what name or what spelling its listed as. One site has Lawrence FITZSIMMONS as FRANCE FITSIONES!!! however when you click it on it has the correct (or close to, spellings) I think that site was ancestry.com Someone also sent that to me. On webtv I cant et ancestry .com I know Lawrence and Bridgets children were baptized at St Mary's Catholic Church in Ottumwa in the 1860's - 1880's. Does anyone know how I would look for these records? I cant find anything about my greatgrandmother Bridget, only some census, not even a death record (Platte County Nebraska 1903-1904. She was born about 1844 in Ireland came to Illinois about 1846. Her mother was Mary, no idea who her father,my great great grandfather was. Thanks again everyone for all your terrific help. It is so appreciated. Thanks again Cindy :) Cris Atwater California

Dear List, I should be very grateful if anyone could help me with a directory address/listing for the following family. I am trying to trace my long lost American cousins, descendants of two members of my family who emigrated to the USA in the 1880s. One of them settled in Illinois and the two sides of the family remained in touch until at least the 1960s but we have since lost contact and I am trying to locate the current living descendants. One of our cousins was Margaret A. Kramer who married William Ernest Deffler of Chicago and later Florida (both now deceased). However, they had two daughters who may still be alive, they were Alice Gwendolyn and Margaret Alberta - born in Chicago. We know that one of these daughters married a Mr. Murphy and lived in Bourbonnais, Illinois but we do not know if it was Alice or Margaret so there should either be an Alice G. Murphy of Bourbonnais or a Margaret A. Murphy of Bourbonnais. We know that Alice was married to a man named Bob Daniel but we d! o not know his surname, he may be the Mr. Murphy in question. Alice and Bob had a daughter Dawn (born circa 1947) and a son Danny (presumably short for Daniel, born circa 1949). If anyone can help I would be extremely grateful. Thank you. James Phillips-Evans
I believe the volunteers are still working on the vital records. Somewhere there is a list of the counties not yet online. I know McLean County has not been completed on some records. The states that have these vital records online are all being done by volunteers. I know because I did some pages for a couple states. It is time consuming as they are mailed to you and you type them up, send them back, and then someone else has to proofread them. Ella (Picking up twigs along the way)

I called and spoke to someone with the Illinois Statewide Marriage Index since the Index seems to be missing all grooms in Warren county between 'FINN-' and 'GROE-'. They said that this was entered by volunteers with the genealogical society. Something may have been dropped, lost, or missed when entering or transferring to the main computer. Wait a few weeks and some of those marriages may start appearing. If you had looked for a marriage where the groom had a surname in between those letters in the past and did not find it, yours might also be appearing after a bit of time. This may take some time to find them all, if they can. -Cyndi Sweet -----Original Message----- From: crazyangel25@webtv.net [mailto:crazyangel25@webtv.net] Sent: Monday, August 08, 2005 12:01 PM To: ILROOTS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILROOTS] statewide marriages Hi List Thank you all for your replies about the state wide marriage site.Ill keep looking :) Cris Atwater California ==== ILROOTS Mailing List ==== There are TWO list archives, searchable two different ways. http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?list=ILROOTS-L http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ILROOTS-L/ ============================== Search the US Census Collection. Dear List, I am looking for ANY information about the following family, including the living descendants with whom we have sadly now lost touch. The story begins with my great-great-grandmother's eldest sister Mary MORRIS who was born in Breconshire, Wales, UK on February 20th 1858. Her parents were David and Margaret (nee EVANS) MORRIS. Mary emigrated to the USA in 1880 (naturalised 1882) and married William KRAMER (born IL or PA) in about 1884 - either in Illinois or Pennsylvania but possibly in Iowa (Mary's brother Daniel MORRIS emigrated in 1883 and settled in Courtdale, Luzerne Co., IL). William and Mary KRAMER settled in Ladd Village, Hall Township, Bureau Co., IL in 1889. William KRAMER died in 1947, Mary KRAMER in 1951. William and Mary KRAMER's first child was John LeRoy KRAMER, born either in Illinois or Iowa in August 1885. He married "Rae" or "Raymond" in about 1907 and they had 5 children - Mary Alice (c. 1908), John H. (c. 1910), Margaret (c. 1913), Raymond Morris (c. 1915) and Dorothy M. (c. 1918). In 1920 John and family were still in Bureau but by 1930 they were settled in Chicago. William and Mary KRAMER's second child was Margaret A. KRAMER who was born on January 22nd 1888 (just before her parents settled in Ladd) and she died in October 1970. She married William Ernest DEFFLER (1875-1968). Ernest and Margaret both died in St. Petersburg, Pinellas Co., Florida. Their children were Margaret Alberta (born circa 1917) and Alice Gwendolyn (born circa 1923) who were born in Illinois - probably in Cook Co. which is where they all were in 1930. Alice Gwendolyn DEFFLER married a man named Bob Daniel (not sure of his surname, possibly MURPHY) and they had 2 children - Dawn (born in about 1947) and Danny (born in about 1949) who are probably still alive. Margaret Alberta was in the civil service but we do not know if or whom she married. William and Mary KRAMER's third child was Harriet (known as Hetty) who was the first child born to them in Ladd, she was born in February 1890. She married Albert JOHNSON but we do not think they had any children. William and Mary KRAMER's fourth child was William M. KRAMER of whom we know nothing other than that he was born in Ladd in October 1891. William and Mary KRAMER's fifth child was Elsie, born in Ladd in October 1893. We do not know her husband's name but we know that she had a daughter Marie Whitney (known as Tyke) who was married to "Ted" and had a daughter Jeanne who must still be alive. Elsie and Tyke came over to Wales in 1965 to visit my family (Elsie and my great-grandmother were 1st cousins) but we have no contact details for the family, not even old addresses. The final KRAMER child was Marie, born on November 14th 1896 in Ladd. She died in September 1986 in Grosse Ile, Wayne Co., Michigan. Her husband was John HOCKING (known as Jack) who was born in 1897 and died in 1988, also in Michigan. Back in the 1930s he was working in the automobile business in Detroit and they had a son John HOCKING junior (known as Jackie) who was born in about 1925 and may still be alive or have living relatives. We have so many photographs etc. of our long lost American cousins so it would be wonderful to establish contact once again after all these years. If anyone has any information of any kind then please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you. James L. Phillips-Evans
Can you help? I'm searching for parents of Robert KING b: 1920's IL. Don't have much to go on yet. Robert's mother was Sarah Jacobson who married Benjamin (surname spelling unsure) Koenigsberg??? Lived in IL at time of son, Robert's birth in the 1920's. Both parents may have come from Russia--and were Jewish. Ben and Sarah owned a hardware store in Chicago. (Also, Is there a way to obtain information about this store?) Son, Robert went by surname "King" as an adult, don't know at time of childhood. Ben died in 1940's in Chicago and Sarah moved to CA after that. Thank you very much for any help. Sarah
This one seems odd. If I enter in only the letter "F" for the grooms name and Warren county, AND leave the brides' name blank, it gives a very short list. Other counties are much longer. Warren county stops at FINNEY PATRICK and does not list any FITSIMMONS with any spelling. There is not FLOYD, FORD, FULLER, or any other common name after FINNEY alphabetically starting with the letter 'f'. I would say that this county is incomplete at this time, or there is an error. -Cyndi -----Original Message----- From: crazyangel25@webtv.net [mailto:crazyangel25@webtv.net] Sent: Sunday, August 07, 2005 1:28 AM To: ILROOTS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [ILROOTS] statewide marriages Hi List I wanted to comment on the states site and ask any others on webtv if they have trouble with the site. http://www.sos.state.il.us/departments/archives/marriage.htm I know for fact that my greatgrandfather Lawrence FITZSIMMONS married my greatgrandmother Fidelia (Bridget) RILEY June ( I believe 10th not in front of me right now)1860.Tompkins Township Warren County. I have put in every combination of spellings of the names that I can think of and it gives me 0 results. Iam wondering if this is a problem with webtv.
