My mother's maiden name is Haas, Adelle Pauline Priscilla. She is one of the twins born to Nora Lehmann Haas listed further down. Her mother Nora's maiden name is Lehman or Lehmann. His name was John A. Lehmann, born in 1861 and died about 1955 age of 94. My information is that he was a cooper by trade, but I have no idea what a cooper is. His Father John SR was married to Caroline Dressel from France; born 1835 died about 1913 age of 78. They had 6 children; Charles, John, William, Christ, Caroline and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was grandmother to Judy Wallin's husband. I don't know his name. Judy Wallin is the source of this information. Nora Lehmann Hass' mother was Sencha Frazier, born 1866; her mother was and Obst from Germany and her father was Semon Frazier. You show Sena (Sarah)Frezier. Don't know which way is correct. Nora Lehmann had siblings: Elmer 1895 Harry 1893 John 1889 Julian 1887 Merina 1900 Amelia 1891 Priscilla or Prisilla 1897 Nora's husband was John William Haas or possibly William John Haas. Their children were: Leosha Mrs. Eugene (Schmidt) Merina (Green) Adelle & Estelle Twin girls 3/15/1916; Married brothers Herman Aster Mathes (Adelle) & Jasper Hugh Mathes (Estelle) Lester Haas Ethel (Taylor) Carl C. or Clarence Haas It looks to me like we are family. There is also information in a McClouskey/Cook family tree or is it McCloskey??? I forget. Anyway, I hope this helps you and I would be grateful for any information you could supply me with. I've been working on our family trees. There is so much information out there, some incorrect and most, I just don't know. My mother passed away in 1977 after several illnesses. She was sick a lot and I don't remember her talking about her family much. Her father died before I was born. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have so many different sources telling me so many different things. This is what I do know for sure. My grandmother is Marie Blanche "Pearl" Campbell married to Charles V. Dumas in Walhalla, North Dakota. Pearl was born on June 16, 1903 in Leroy, North Dakota. Her father was Charles Campbell, son of James Campbell and Isabelle Delorme. Charles Campbell was born April 19, 1880 in Leroy, North Dakota. He was half-breed Chippewa indian. His mother was indian. His father was Scotch. James Campbell information is unclear. His family is Scotch. Records are showing in the Census records that he was born in Massachusetts, then others showing Scotland. My aunt said the Campbells had a Scottish accent. Documents published with the Metis lineage is showing that William Campbell and Elizabeth Ross are his parents. That is what alot of sources are saying. His actual birth year is still unclear. It is bet! ween 1834 and 1840. Her mother was Marie Veronique Ritchot, daughter of Raphael Ritchot and Isabelle Gladu. James Campbell lived in Walhalla, North Dakota. Pearl's husband Charles V. Dumas father's family were from Massachusetts. I had other sources tell me that it was William Colin Campbell and Elizabeth McGillivray, but i think it keeps coming back to William Campbell and Elizabeth Ross. My grandmother lived in Lampman, Sask for a little while but born in Leroy, North Dakota. My great grandfather died in December 1903. Pearl died in August 20, 1932. Baby Joseph died 3 days later. There were 5 boys all together. My dad was sent to Canada to live with his great aunt in lampman, sask. The other 3 boys sent to orphanage. We later found out it was an indian orphanage. My grandfather on Dumas side is Charles V. Dumas born Feb 28, 1891 in St. Rock, Quebec, Canada. Actually he told family members it was on leap year. His parents were Charles Dumas and Rosalie Dumas. They were 1st! cousins. Charles Dumas was born in Manchaug, Massachusetts april 10, 1865 and died Sept 1921, son of Joseph Dumas and Esther Allaire. Rosalie Dumas parents were Treffle Dumas, son of Joseph Dumas and Esther Allaire and Rosalie Bresse. Please contact me at [email protected], if you have any information involving the Campbell side. I really would appreciate it. Thank you, Patricia "Trisha" Dumas Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
