I'm in Canada but in doing my research i only got back to 1805 where my great grandfathers grandpa was born as John Sheriden Fagan. I thought his father might also be John but still trying to dig. He was baptized at St.Peters Parish in Leeds. I contacted the parish and they confirmed the baptism but said no mother listed. and no previous births or marriages for 'fagans'. I am stumped. SO looking for a male fagan who married -assuming- a Sheriden, because ggggrpa's second name was sheriden i'm banking that it was his mother's maiden name. my email is [email protected] Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I'm new to this business but wanted to say thank you! It is the first message that I have seen that matches exactly what my grandmother (Leona Dale Hapner Hall, daughter of Laura Luena Smith Hapner) wrote down for me before she died, and of course it adds greatly to my own notes. I may be able to provide some recent info about my grandmother's children, if that would be helpful to you. I last found her in the 1941 Waltham, Massachusetts city directory as a stockbroker. At that time she was Cora B. LEYSON. Her husband, Burr Watkins Leyson, died in Neihart, Montana in 1928, and she moved back to Mass. I cannot locate any further information on her. At this point I also cannot locate the burial place of her husband, Burr. Cora also had a sister, Lillian Leona Stainbrook, who is shown as a secretary in Chicago, Illinois, up until 1950. Lillian was born in Paw Paw, Lee County, IL, in 1879. Cora was born in Paw Paw too, in 1870. The parents of Cora and Lillian were: Alfred Hulings Stainbrook and Mary Jane Robinson, of Pennsylvania. Can anyone connect to this family? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
