Some county genealogy societies have transcribed funeral home records. You might post on the county board and ask if they have such information? usually they have a small set fee or ask for donations to the society but some stil do it for free. John Elias was my Great-Grandfather. I know Dennis's wife and two children died on the same day, that I have no info on either. There is not need for you to order the death certificate, as long as I know when and where. His father was Peter Nicklaus Heinen and I knew his mother was a Delaney but not sure of the first name. Peter had married sisters Sarah and Annie. Thank you so much for the info Shari Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. According to his headstone in Mt Olivet, Dwight, IL, he died in 1940 which matches the year in the IL database. However, I have not purchased the death record. Peter was his father. No one in our family knows anything about Nels which is also spelled Nelse. I found informatiton on a census that says he came to the US in 1889 and my mother said she had heard he worked on a ship and "jumped ship" as she put it. He was older when he came here and we know he came from Norway. When family member attempted to search for information in Norway, they were told that he had siblings named Oliver, Daisy and Sophie which were what he named his children. I did not have his date of death so this is helpful! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
