It is by Zelma Christine Holl edited by Dorothy Anderson Brumleve, published by the Champaign County Geneological Society, Urbana, Illinois, 2000. I found it in one of our Mid-Continent Libraries in the Kansas City MO area. I requested copies of the pages related to my family and within those is listed Augusta Kate Schlorff who married William Schrader and had a son Fred Schrader. Kate was the daughter of Anna Augusta Nofftz and Carl Frederick Christian Schlorff. I have been struggling to find information on these families because they are part of my own ancestry. It seems the Schlorff family used the same names: Frederick, Christian, and John, and Carl over and over among brothers. I am descended from one of the brothers of Carl Frederick. His name was John Frederick. They all originated from the Champaign, Urbana and Pesotum area. I believe the arrived in the US in the mid 1800s, just prior to the Civil War. If you have information on these brothers, there were two sisters as well, I would love to hear from you. I wish to learn the names of the parents too. Thank you. Sally told me how Woody died and those were her photos. Woody father was second generation German via Chicago. Annie Arnett came from Scotch-Irish descent. Not sure why her Dad John Lee Arnett was in AK, TX and Indian Territory in the 1800s. Born in GA. Did not serve in the civil war -I could not find any records that fit him. I think he may have worked around the KATY railroad. He and the family were intruders in In Terr.Lived in Porum and Briartown area. You see,the person I am helping to research was told that "Woody" served in the military during WWII & died from his wounds. From your photo submission & dates & his 1944 photo (he appears ill) I told her there was no way he was in the military because of the dates, the children he was posing with, deducting 9 mos. back from their mother's birth (Sally). Thank you for your honesty. It's too bad their bio mom doesn't want to help..sort of a bad case of "The Locater" series. I'll try to check out the chronicles you suggested.
