He was married to Katherine Sisson on Sept 1928 in Martinez CA. The license says he was 41 years old, so born around 1887. The license says he was born in Germany, his parents: father: Joseph Miller Mother: Ada Kage. This was Herman's second marriage (divorced) and Katherine's third (per the license)..but actually Herman was her fourth husband. Katherine: maiden name: Westfall 1st marriage 1907 to Lemuel Baird in Boulder CO..divorced 2nd marriage around 1918 to Carrol Shaw Bartholomew divorced 1923 3rd marriage to Charles Sisson...date unknown at this time Herman was the 4th The 5th is Frank Wales between 1932-1936 in California Herman was born in Germany per this marriage license, but another source says he was born in Hawcreek Tp, Knox, Ill. The 1910 census shows Herman as a laborer at a dairy farm in Kane Co, Ill, Elgin District 57. The census shows he worked with Frank Wales, which is the name of Katherine's fifth husband. What are the chances the new each other before either of them married Katherine in CA. I would like to know when Katherine/Herman divorced and what happened to him after the divorce. Who was Herman's first wife, siblings, etc. I would love to hear from anyone who knows about this man. Anna Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The state has no record at all. A sister to the woman told me about the death. Otherwise no one would know anything. It merely says baby Banks because it was at least on the cemetery records. A possible suggestion - did you try just the initial "R" and last name? Then you could use also the middle name "George" as a first name. also if the name was Crosby but could it have been "Cosby" without the letter "R". When you can't find anything at all and you aren't having any luck, I sometimes have tried different spellings and combinations and even just parts of names and have had some success a few times. It doesn't work all the time but I think it would be worth a try.
