FYI on current obits from the Rock Island area: Unfortunately, Quad-Cities Online, which is owned by the newspapers and is also an internet service provider were less than polite when it was suggested that they allow open access to their obituary section. IF you use QCOnline as your ISP you can access them. If you do not use them as your ISP (as in, you are not local) they will allow you access for $50 a year to their newspaper section which carries the obituaries. While many papers on the net offer free access to their current daily obits, the Rock Island area is not one.
