The Bruner family is from Muscatine county as well. You'll find a lot of people crossed back and forth, quite often. :-) Muscatine's records have been very well indexed and early marriages, deaths and births are availabled through the Musser Public Library. The Early Settler records also have extensive information on pioneers of the county. Eli Thornton (elder brother of Err Thornton) is my own gggrandfather and from Muscatine. I've found Thornton and Hoberts in both places. :-) I'm certain you'll find Bruner there. I remember seeing them. -- Diana J.
