Kathryn, the last name of BAIRD caught my attention. I have two BAIRDs in my data base located with the CHIDESTER families in the Iowa/Illinois area. They are: 25 Apr 1886 a BAIRD married Zadok Chidester in Monroe County, Iowa 13 Feb 1849 an Asa S. BAIRD, Sr. married to Sarah Tharp Asa was also on the 1862 Roster of Monroe County, Iowa Volunteers. Any connection to my two BAIRDS?
