Hi all, I am hoping to make a trip to Rock Island County the end of May. I'll be staying with a "cousin" in Davenport. As some of you may remember we are having a time trying to track down what happened to one of the children of Catherina SACHAU SCHWENNEKER.....Christop Heinrich SACHAU. My question is when I am there where would I look for a possible death record for him since there was no mention of him in any of the older siblings obits. He was 9 1/2 when his mother left with him from Germany in 1866. Also, do the genealogy societies in Moline and Rock Island allow non members to look thru their records? My "cousin" in Davenport is a volunteer at the FHC and she as not found anything in microfilms she has access to there. We have contacted Zion Lutheran Church and they do not have any mention of them. He's not in the Riverside Cemetery where his mother and step father are...nor in Rosehill.
