    3. Denise, If you found any papers for your ggf in the courthouse in Rock Island the others may also be there too. I would also try the National Archives in Chicago assuming he was naturalized in Illinois. The archives for that area should have all three naturalization papers on file, the Declaration of Intension(First papers), Petition(Second or final Papers), Certificate of Naturalization. Sometimes Bible records or other family records are with the persons packet. Apply to the National Archives under the Freedom of Information act. Jim Gillespie Fresno Calif D

    3. The Naturalization papers for my great grandfather, Gus Riedell are dated 4 November 1892, state of Illinois. This record was found in Rock Island, IL, book 5, page 64. I am interested in obtaining copies of his Declaration of Intent and any other papers regarding his citizenship, which would add to the family history, Can someone aid me in the steps to this process? Thanks a bunch. Denise

Effie Young with whom he lived in 1912 or at least I think it was her brother. Effie had a daughter, Kittie Hamrick, and I'm trying to find her whereabouts after 1911. I was hoping to find William E. Young's obit in hopes of finding where Kittie was and perhaps a married name for her. Thanks again.
