    2. Agree that Ancestry.com is taking over everything and wanting Big Money for everything. I dropped it and then they called me and said I was paid up until June1 and I wasn't. Then, if you want UK it is a huge amount and you still can't be sure that the information there is accurate. I consider it only a clue as to do futher research. It is better to ignore them and work from the Primary Souces which is always much more accurate.

    3. Hi Bob, I can only imagine what happened! I dropped ancestry.com as they began providing each service alacarte--separate pricing which increased the overall price to a ridiculous amount--and then called me to argue with me that it was always like this. I truly hope that more people drop their service as it is such a rip off!!! They have taken other people's free files and are making money off of them. Ridiculous! 2. Thanks but the only thing I really need is the birth and place of ISAAC RICHARD BOLSTER who was in the Monmouth Rebellion in England in 1685. He came to the US 1715 and when I belonged to Ancestry.com the only thing there was what my cousin had put on. If you have access to UK records it would be great. Thanks, Marilyn

    1. [RockIsl'd] HARDER/HORSTMAN/DUNBAR
    2. Hi; Lena HARDER was the daughter of August HARDER and per the 1900 Census she immigrated in 1883. Her DOB was March 13, 1855 making her about 28 when she immigrated. Her death cert says she was in Moline for 46 years and had been in US for 46 years, which would indicate 1884 but the IL online marriage index gives the marriage date as May 5, 1883. August HORSTMAN, husband of Lena, was the son of Hans and Augusta (MNU) HORSTMAN. At his death he had been in US 57 years and in Moline 51 years, which means he came to Moline in 1883. his birth place is listed as Hemmingstedt which is in Holstien. I believe I have located him in Brooklyn, NY in the 1880 census. In the 1880 census I found a Hans HORSTMANN in Rock Island as a soldier. Listed with Hans was a Henry HORSTMANN, also a soldier. I would like to determine if this Hans was August's father, as August's move to Moline could be related to having family there. August and Lena's daughter Hattie married Harry DUNBAR. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! I have found Gustave in 1900-1930 Census and believe him to be a brother of Lena HARDER HORSTMAN. Hopefully an obit may have his parents names. Lena's death cert has her father as August Harder and her immigration year is 1883, which also is the year of her marriage and the year she first resided in Moline. Moline Parks Director From: Slater, Todd o To: 'Susie' Sent: Thursday, June 27, 2002 1:42 PM Subject: RE: Cemetery records Many bodies were moved to Moline Memorial Park Cemetery (formerly Valhalla Burial Park) in 1928. I know they came from a cemetery in the East Moline/Watertown area but I didn't know the cemetery was called the McNeal Cemetery. Do you have documentation to show this and could share? Our records don't show any information about this transfer of bodies. Most of what I know was passed on to me by older funeral directors in the area. Everyone buried here has an interment card filed alphabetically. I suppose if they moved a body without a marker, there was no way to make a card for them. It is hard telling how many bodies are buried here with no name on file.
