Does anybody know whether there may have been some kind of health crisis (cholera, typhoid, etc.) in Randolph and Perry County, IL during the winter of 1843-1844 and the spring of 1844? There seem to have been a spate of deaths by young adults in my family during that period, and it occurred to me that an epidemic of some kind might explain that. Any clues? Dave.
