I have all but run out of records to search. My goal right now is to find the parents of my third gr grandfather Hickman Holloman (a variety of spellings for this last name). He was born in Pope County in 1825. I have found no sign of his parents of siblings in Pope County records. I suspect that the family might have gotten into that part of Illinois prior to the formation of Pope County, in which case I believe they would have lived in Randolph. Would anybody out there be willing to tell me if my speculation is pointed in the right direction? Any suggestions? Better yet, is there anybody out there working on the Holloman family?
