    3. Velda - I've yet to find a Bilderback researcher who has information relating to Daniel. Although I'm not specifically researching the family I've picked up the following in connection with my research of the Preston family. 1. The Indiana Territorial Census for February 1807 shows Daniel Bilderback as a resident of Randolph County, as does the 1810 census. The following year,1811, Daniel served with the Kaskaskia militia, together with William Bilderback, in Captain Wm. Alexander's Company. 2. The 1810 census shows Daniel, Ephraim, John, and Robert Bilderback; and the families of Thomas Roberts and Nancy Preston. The latter (my gg grandmother) was the youngest Preston daughter, and sister of Daniel Bilderback's wife (Susannah), Thomas Bilderback's wife (Margaret) and Thomas Robert's wife (Jane). The census places the referenced families in the following order: the Roberts' family, the E. Bilderback family, the Daniel Bilderback family;and Nancy Preston family. 3. The militia rolls of 1813 show Daniel serving in Captain Wm Boon's Co. of Mounted Volunteers, together with Ensign John Bilderback, and private Charles Bilderback. 4. And last, Daniel Bilderback purchased federal land 27 Mar 1834. Perhaps the above will be of assistance to someone. Tom
