Hi all ... Does anyone on the list have an index or headstone transcriptions at Coulterville Cemetery? I am trying to verify information on my gg-grandmother, LUCY (WILKERSON) WILSON, who died in either 1867 or 1880. I'm also interested to know if there are two Lucy Wilsons buried there. Steve, I don't, unfortunately, have any info on your Lucy, but I do have a Wilkerson connection. My 3rd Great-Grandfather, Benjamin SOPER married Mary "Polly" Wilkerson/Wilkinson/Wilkison in 1821 Sumner Co. TN. They later moved to Illinois and settled in Randolph County. Then, 2nd cousin twice removed, Sarah Parthena SOPER married Otto Wilkerson in 1896 in Perry Co., IL. I have other's of that surname (various spellings) in my file as well and am most willing to "share and compare." Regarding your kind offer to do look-ups... my SOPER line was in Randolph Co. as was my Higgerson line. Benjamin F. SOPER m. Sarah Frances HIGGERSON. Her 2nd husband was Thomas LEMING.
