February 7, 2007 Meeting Room at Southwestern Illinois College's Programs and Services for Older Persons 201 North Church Belleville, Illinois Have a Civil War ancestor whose burial site is without a headstone or has a Government Headstone that is missing, damaged or worn? Mr. McGovern will lead us through the process to honor your ancestor with a free, new Government Headstone. Some of the items to be covered are documentation needed, style of headstone, inscription, timeline, and Illinois benefits. In addition Mr. McGovern will discuss additional memorials available and answer some questions concerning VA benefits. If you have a loved one who served in the military or you are planning for yourself, you need to come to this presentation to know how to obtain a Government Headstone.
