    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.illinois.counties.randolph/728/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am in search of a few obituaries. They are all the same family. Edith Husband died Feb. 17, 1985 in Steeleville. Raymond Sieberg says he died in L.A. Co., Ca. but he was born and raised in Randolph Co., so I am hoping there will be an obituary there for him. Died Apr. 11, 1983 I'm also looking for Blanche (Houghland) Sieberg and Emil Sieberg but I don't have dates on them. Must be after 1950 and before 1970 to miss the Irad and SS date base. Thank you sincerely for considering my request.

    3. The book, Towns and Families of Randolph County, Illinois, is available for sale through the Randolph County Genealogical Society at a cost of $47.00 (incl. taxes and postage). There is so much information available in the book ... it is well worth the money. The society has other publications for sale as well, which can be viewed at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilrcgs/BooksForSale.doc Steve --- helene driscoll <heldriscleh@msn.com> wrote: > Thanks for the look up. It is at a crossroads where the 1/2 section line running east & west crosses the north & south boundary, sections 23 & 24 of township 4, range 8. 3. I don't know if this will help you, Peter. I, too, had relatives from Horse Prairie. I don't know if it was ever an official town, but the area is right outside of RedBud. All the relatives that I had that lived at Horse Prairie attended Trinity Lutheran Church which is still there right outside of RedBud. Since Hapke sounds German, you might check to see if there are any Hapke's in the Trinity cemetery or in the church records. I would appreciate a lookup for the CRITTENDEN family, specifically Charles, William, Richard and Francis Crittenden, although any Crittenden info would be welcomed. Thanks again for your willingness to help. Jan in CA *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* On Jan 11, 2007, at 1:46 PM, Steve wrote: > I've offered this before, but it's been awhile, so > I'll offer it again.
