I do know that. I'm trying to find out whether Emily Pelate nee Boyer was their natural Mother or not. I do not and cannot find a date of death or place of death for Louis Pelate. Emily Boyer Thebeau Pelate Weber died in 1935 and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fairview Heights, Illinois. However the only information I have on Louis Pelate and Emily (aka Millie) Boyer is that Louis was born in 1863 to Louis M. Pelate and Mary Philomen Lourvier and that he married Millie Boyer on 14 March 1885. Louis had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I have no info on their children (your grandmother). Given your grandmother's birth date in 1882 either this wedding date is wrong or there is much more to the story (e.g., out-of-wedlock birth or another husband).

A Sarah J. Connelly married S. H. Anderson May 21, 1867 in Randolph Co. I have searched the 1870 and on censuses for this family and cannot find them. I would like to know if anyone on the list has any ideas as to what names "S" and "H" stand for in Anderson's name. Thank you.

No Anderson mentioned. Before I start on Wm. McBride, I want to ask if you know of A. A. Anderson who owned a pharmacy? Let me know. This would have been about 1866. These docs about Wm. McBride vary. The 1835 is about him being appointed to do an enumeration in Randolph Co. In 1835 he was a clerk in an election. 1833 is about viewing a bridge on Horse creek. In 1829 he was reimbursed for stationery in some elections. In 1827 for using his cart and oxen in Aug. of that year. And again in 1824 for stationery. Velda, I am not researching McBride, but I have a William McBride that married into my wife's Anderson family. The McBride court records are most likely for an older William, but I thought it might be worth while to check. >From the Randolph Co. marriage records; William McBride married Alice H.
