    1. [ILRANDOL] STEWART, ZANG, DOUGLAS
    2. Doug Stewart
    3. I am researching the names STEWART, ZANG, DOUGLAS in Randolph County, Illinois. Thomas R. STEWART, b 1841, Randolph County, IL d 1918, same Married 8/23/1876 by Pastor Tiner (looking for recorded marriage certificate and denomination of pastor) to wife #2: Reky (sp?) ZANG, b ? d 1901, Chester, Randolph Cty Parents of Reky ZANG: Jacob ZANG b ? d approx 1892 Caroline ? b ? d approx 1892 Parents of Thomas R. STEWART: Thomas ? STEWART, b approx 1800, ? Ohio d 1840s location ? (possibly Randolph county of illness, or in Mex War) Catherine DOUGLAS,b ? , Scotland d ? , Chester, Randolph Cty, IL This man reportedly came from Ohio to Fort Gage with military ( I am looking for records for Fort Gage/Kaskaskia. Need positive id of name, unit, Ohio origin of unit. I have some sketchy oral history of this individual given to me in 1980 by his grandson.) Children of Thomas R. STEWART and Reky ZANG all born in Randolph County: Virgil R, b 1880 d 1960 Lemhi Cty, Idaho Robert T, b 1882 d ? , Washington Aaron Z, b 1883 d 1924 Elma, WA Grey Blanchard, b 1885 d ? IL ? Compton b ? (died age 8) Emmett E, b 1891 (twin stillborn) d 1982 Yelm,WA Otis b 1893 (died young) Arland R b 1896 d ? ? Arland may have worked the family farm most of his life. He may have been still living in 1980. Grey Blanchard may have retained the family farm in Randolph County and passed it on to his daughter June. G. Blanchard STEWART's daugnter, June Treeter (sp?) may have lived in the Chester area in the late 1970s. She reportedly had the original family bible which recorded family events. I do not know the religious affiliation of the family, thus I am curious about the pastor who married Thomas R and Reky. Possibly there are some church records. At this time I am particularly interested in finding military records for Fort Gage/Kaskaskia. Any suggestions for research would be greatly appreciated. 1. [ILRANDOL] COHEN Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Florance (or Florence) COHEN of Chester, Illinois. The photograph was taken at the Howard Studio in Chester, IL, likely in the 1870's or 1880's. The little girl appears to be 5-10 years of age at the time the photo was taken. Not certain there is a connection, however, other photographs recovered along with this photo are some belonging to the DOMBROW, SMITH, STIMLY, SULLIVAN, SMALL, SCHMIDT, and CRAWFORD families from Chicago, IL; Chester, IL; St. Louis, MO; Norwood, NY; Nebraska City, NE; Forestville, MI; and Minden City, MI. I'm hoping to locate someone from her family and see that the photograph is returned to its rightful place. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    1. [ILRANDOL] Help with Courthouse Records (Death Index)
    2. Mike Jones
    3. Hello, List. In the Randolph County Death Index, Book 1, 1916-1940, there is a notation for Jackie Logan, died 30 March 1938. I had ignored this entry because the name wasn't correct. Later, looking in some other records (for Tilden), I ran across Zack Logan, exact same death date. I'm figuring that "Jackie" was "Zackie" or "Zack." Does anyone on the list have access to the Courthouse records for "Zack," "Zackie," or "Zachariah" Logan and the particulars of that entry? Thank you. Michael Jones Sun Prairie, WI

    1. RE: [ILRANDOL] Fw: I gave your computer crabs PLEASE CHECK FOR VIRUS
    2. Bob Patterson
    3. According to Symantec, maker of NortonAntivirus, this is a hoax. jdbgmgr.exe is a legitimate Microsoft Windows file. If you have already deleted the file, don't worry about it, it's not necessary to reinstall it. For details, go to www.symantec.com and look at their virus encyclopedia. Do not know if I caught it before it forwarded to anyone else but I hope this is only a false alarm. ----- Original Message ----- From: Laure Yeager To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, December 12, 2002 4:06 PM Subject: I gave your computer crabs PLEASE CHECK FOR VIRUS A virus has been passed on to my computer and my address book was affected. Since you are in my address book there is a good chance you will find it in your computer too. I followed the directions below and eradicated the virus easily. the virus is called jdbgmgr.exe, it is not detected by Norton or McAfee anti-virus. The virus sits quietly for 14 days before damaging the system. It is sent automatically by emails or messenger whether or not you sent emails to your contacts. Here is how to check for the virus and get rid of it: 1. Go to Start, Find or Search option 2. In the file/folder option type the name jdbgmgr.exe 3. Be sure to search your C: drive and all subfolders and any other drives you have. 4. Click Find Now/Search 5. The virus has a teddy bear icon in front of it. DO NOT OPEN IT! 6. Go to the edit (on the menu bar), choose "select all" to highlight the file without opening it. 7. Now go to File (on the menu bar) and select "Delete". It will then go to the recycle bin. 8. Go to the recycle bin and empty it and delete the file there as well. IF YOU FIND THE VIRUS, YOU MUST CONTACT ALL THE PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK, SO THEY CAN ERADICATE IT IN THEIR OWN ADDRESS BOOK. To do this: 1. Open a new email message 2. Click the icon of the address book next to the "To" 3. highlight everyname and add to "BCC" 4. Copy this message . . . enter subject past to email send. The virus came from the Philippines . . . received October 19, 2002. Please do it right away. I have removed it following these instructions. Sorry about this. Laure` P.
