Dear Dee My husband's Waldon line is very elusive. I have only been able to go back to his great grandfather William Mathis Waldon who was born in Missouri in 1843. This man was on the 1850 census of Jasper Co., MO, with his (assumed) parents, James and Joanna Waldon. James listed South Carolina as his birthplace, and Joanna's was Kentucky. That's all I know about them. William ended up in Texas (several different counties). I haven't had any success in tracing James any further, although recently I found a reference to a James Waldon in a record in Laurens Co, SC. Do you have a Waldon line? Carolynn
