Hi all, I've been wondering why the 1880 census for Monroe Precinct lists the county as Pope, but in 1900, the same Monroe Precinct lists Hardin as the county. I know Hardin County was formed from Pope, but many, many years earlier. Could this have been a mistake on the part of the census-taker or did Monroe actually move from Pope to Hardin?
