I think her mother may have been Nancy, who as of the 1880 census was remarried to John HOGG in Hardin county. This is based on a census entry where the name and age fits but I haven't had a chance to explore this theory yet. I have, however, extracted many census entries for JOINER from both Pope and Hardin counties from 1870 through 1920, and including a couple of the state censuses. Out of curiosity I looked through these entries last night and found one from Hardin county in 1910 for a James F. JOINER, age 31, with a [first name illegible] LEDBETTER, male aged 23 listed as "Servant". James' profession was listed as Doctor of Medicine. They could well have been brothers-in-law or cousins. I don't know if this entry "fits" with any of your information, but I found it interesting. As I said, though, I do have a lot of JOINER census entries if there's anyone in particular you're looking for; just let me know. John
