It appears that I may be researching the only BARGER's born in Pope County, Ill that were not previously SHUFFLEBARGER's (oh, that they were!) My William S. Barger (thought perhaps Shufflebarger, but according to a child's death certificate, he was William Stone Barger) was born in Perry Co., TN 3-Jan-1834. His third child, John Wesley Barger was born in POPE CO., IL 16-Aug-1873, died in Paducah, KY 5-Apr-1949. Two of William's other children were born in Metropolis, Massac County, IL. William moved around a lot and I have assumed there was family where ever he went. Anyone have any Barger's who were not Shufflebarger's? Karla Butler Everett
