    3. What John W. King are you researching? I have some information on a John W. King, born circa 1817 in VA who married Elizabeth Shufflebarger, daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Burton Shufflebarger. I have some info, although unproven, that claims John W. to be the son of John and Margaret Anderson King, orginially from Montgomery Co., VA. Other Kings I believe to be siblings of John W. are Drucilla (mar. Joseph Butler), Anderson (mar. Happy Vaughn and Elizabeth Ann Gallimore), Cynthia (mar. Archer Hathaway), and Alexander Nelson (mar. Permelia Shufflebarger). I have quite a bit of info on the Anderson family of Montgomery/Pulaski Co., VA, many of whom (including Margaret Anderson King) migrated to Pope Co., IL. If this is the John W. King you are researching, let me know. I can send you more detailed info privately, or post it to this discussion group. I admit that quite a lot of the info I have on the Pope Co. Andersons is based on circumstantial evidence. While I believe my logic in evaluating this evidence to be sound, I would like to find more positive proof of my conclusions. Perhaps we can get a discussion going on this list, if no one objects, to sort through the data and pool opinions, and perhaps arrive at some answers. Just a suggestion. Let me know!
