I am descended from Josiah Silas Jackson b 1853 in TN, he married Pheobe Lauderdale daughter of John Taylor Lauderdale, son of John & Pheobe Reece Lauderdale, I have a lot of info on both of the Lauderdale lines, if you would like to share info. I recently found out a new Lauderdale book has been published. I guess it mentions how William B Lauderdale (the father of Jacob & John) ties in with the line and goes back to the Maitland family in Scotland.
